Yafa Zins
BY THE CHEREMOSH RIVER
And the winds of the river are coming,
Its belly bubbles
Whips are in the devil’s dance
Between twisted palms.
And the roaring, soaring of the water
Do not let off, let off,
In the deep water there is a stone
Around it are Jews, a "Minyan"
They tell - The stone was tied to the neck
By whips by a Ukrainian mob
There is a stone in the deep water
Around it are Jews, a "Minyan"
Above the roaring of the water
The hissing of the wind is quietly rising
Searching for a hint of light
Somewhere in the mountains
The fear is a free above the river
Touches between times
There by the bank of Cheremosh River
Between Kitov and Viznits
A cut-down trunk, a slope, and the wind.
